Today, women in the United States have it pretty good---unlike our predecessors a hundred years ago, we can vote, demand equal pay, use birth control, and enter any profession we want. Dig a little deeper, however, and you’ll see that discrimination and inequality still pervade many aspects of our society.
We created TheWomenAreAngry.org to celebrate how far the women’s movement has come in the United States, and to point out the glaring inequality that still exists. On our site, you can find a history of women’s equality, women in the workforce, and reproductive rights. We also cover two areas where women face significant obstacles: in the military, and in science and engineering fields. Check out links to more great resources on specific women’s issues, and the ways that you can help advance women’s rights in today’s society.
